Tips for a Better Car Dealership Brochure
69
There comes a time when a brochure is needed to show off a vehicle to a potential buyer. Perhaps you don't have the car on the lot. Or maybe your customer needs to think it over and come back tomorrow. A brochure is an excellent way to entice a customer with fancy photos and brilliant details designed to wow them. If you are going to print brochures, make sure to do it right. Here are some tips so that you can do just that.
Highlight all the best features in photographs.
Get professional photos taken for brochure printing. The quality of photographs in your brochure will determine its effectiveness. Always use high resolution of 300 dpi. Use photos take at angles that highlight the best features of your vehicles, such as the spoilers, mags, tail pipe design, headlights, taillights, instrumentation, and upholstery.
Write about all of the best features without overcrowding.
In order for your brochure to be successful, it must be easy to read. Do include all of the great things about the vehicle. Do put them in bulleted form so that they are easily seen. But don't include unnecessary technical lingo. Don't bulk the text together in paragraphs. When people are shopping for a car, they want the benefits laid out in front of them.
Choose a layout the supports your image.
There are many technical choices to be made with brochure printing. You will have to choose between bi-fold, tri-fold, accordion fold, z fold, French fold, gate fold, double parallel fold, and roll fold. One is not better than the other, but one may work better for your particular design so try a few out before you settle on any particular fold.
Use the space wisely and include your logo.
The cover of the brochure should grab the reader's attention. Your great photograph of the vehicle and the make and model should be enough to draw in a reader. Since he or she is already shopping, all you need to do is make identifying the brochure easy. Your dealership logo and contact information can be placed on the back cover of your brochure. It will be easily found there and will not distract from the design of the rest of the brochure printing design.
Make the finished brochure fabulous with finishes.
Use a high gloss finish when brochure printing to make it shine. The brochure will look more professional and will draw more attention. Photographs always look better if they are printed on a good quality paper in high gloss. Use 100 lb. paper gloss or 10 pt. card stock gloss.
Auto sales are high energy sales and your brochure should match that precept. Make your brochure full of color and full of detail, and your customers are sure to get excited about buying that perfect car from you.
